How to reactivate Task Manager on XP ? 

Solution

• To reactivate your Task Manager, follow these steps:
• Go to Start / Run
• Type regidt.exe
• Expand the Tree, go to the following folder :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software> Microsoft> Windows> Current Version> Policies \ System

• Right click on Disable taskmgr, select "Customize"
• In the following sequence, change the last digit by one so that you have the following sequence: oxoooooooo(1)
